cloud 13...hello!  man, im a happy chick these days.  after getting pretty close to rock bottom, i somehow picked my spirit back up and feel like im flying.  work is great...it's been feeling like play these days.  blurring the line between work and play is a MAJOR goal in life and maybe im finally learning how to achieve that.  ive been to many beautiful places recently (OUTSIDE places) with fantastic company and have been feeling inspired and motivated to continue the adventures. rain or shine, outside is where its at!  rain is in the forecast and im STOKED!  music rocks my world extra hard recently.  some awesome design events are looming in the near future and hobbies that i was forced to put down for a while are being picked back up.  i have been spending more time in the kitchen (my fav part of the house...well tied with my bed)...experimentally cooking...loving the process and (usually) the outcome. who's hungry?  cooking for others is especially fun and rewarding.

trying to supress my night-owl nature in hopes of feeling refreshed tomorrow.  sweet dreams :)

excitement is brewing!

tonight has been about researching, networking, connecting, getting inspired, and catching up one my glossy design magazine reading all wall spending "quality" time with lil sister in front of a bad movie.  pretty A.D.D., i know. 

however, within the inky-smelling pages of my latest issue of elle decor i discovered an upcoming sf design showcase in november!  sweeeeet! i LOVE these....so inspiring.

was asked this question a few days ago. it's a simple question. it made me think, for days. i'm going to do SOMETHING. i NEED to do something.

to start, im making plans to climb half dome and spend another lovely weekend in tahoe. and i'll go from there...

yea so i am applying for another job...one which i would do on top of the full-time job i currently have. overachiever...yep, always have been. it's an apprenticeship/internship at an AMAZING small design firm in sf's design district. im stoked to even have the opportunity to be applying and to feel like i have a shot (although maybe slim). the knowledge that i would gain from an experience like this would be invaluable. sending my packet off tonight...

WOW!WOW!WOW!!!!

i think my heart just skipped a beat! saw this event in sunset magazine...just looked into the date...annnnddd...it happens to sooooo conveniently be taking place on a weekend i am off!!  road trip to LA just might be a must.

wow...so exterior/interior tours of 6 MAJORLY iconic modern homes in LA.  i don't know if i can pass up an opportunity like this.

flowers for the bride.

just got a sneak peak of the professional shots from a dear friend's summer wedding and re-lived one of the most special days i've ever been so lucky to be a part of. 

here are a few shots of the bouquets i created.  so many thanks to the bride + groom (and their families!) for giving me my first shot at floral arranging!  had sooo much fun, suffered zero allergies, and can't wait to do it again!
