modern farmhouse.

taking care of biz this morning.  after 2 days of nothing be relaxation, loads of sleep, a couple good bottles of wine, and some local sight-seeing, it felt good to get up early and start taking care of business.

found this amazingly gorgeous up-to-date take on farmhouse style living on doorknob.  originally an older/more traditional brick home, this now not-so humble abode was kicked up a couple notches.
at night...oooooh!
interesting angles throughout!
more angles, geometry, creative lines.
gorgeous!

feeling blue.

blueprints. my fascination for architecture often makes me think that i should be an architect. good thing interiors and architecure go hand in hand.

i like the idea of original blueprints as art....especially if it's FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT'S plans. after all...he touched it!

MCM in santa barbara.

check out this mid-century modern beauty in the santa barbara foothills! wowie! im a neutral-palette girl and i love the use of bright color splashes that don't take away from the monochromatic neutral scheme here. clean lines, cozy organic textiles, casual furnishings, and soft lighting balance the simplicity of the architecture.

this peaceful interior design is by sbdigs.

i played FlatPak...your turn!

pre-fab houses have come a looong way. if when you hear the term pre-fabricated home you immediately conjure up an image of a tacky kitchen with wall-to-wall linoleum, less than dreamy bedrooms, and bathrooms you can barely turn around in...let architect, Charlie Lazor, change your mind.

(slide 7 + 8...wow.)

pre-fabrication is becoming a widely popular strategy of building eco-friendly and economical, while at the same time customizable, homes.
