pillow talk. ;)

pillows are a great way to add a splash or color, texture, pizazz to a space. here are some recent favorites:

from kitschy to au natural

great graphic pillows. color. pattern. design.

lovely old school paint by numbers

this pillow speaks the language of laughter

time to go rest my sleepy head on my white, flat, bamboo, perfectly unglamorous pillow. sleep tight.

inspiration.

the complete works of Frank Lloyd Wright. 3 volumes of gorgeous photos and mind-blowing blue prints. feels good in the hands and will look great on my future coffee table.

ending + beginning.

my beautiful, peaceful, tranquil, inspiring, fun-filled, relaxing, time spent with great company and solo at this white-walled/art-filled SOMA pad comes to end. i kind of have a sick feeling in my stomach knowing that i wont wake up to the beauty of this city and my favorite neighborhood. feels like home here. and the house that i have to return to is far from homey.

HOWEVER, tomorrow is the first day at my new job. this job means a home in the near future. feeling like an adult and really comfortable with that feeling. i will have 1 full time job working for a family that i love in the interiors field. this is a huge step in the forward direction for me. moving (partially and temporarily) into a city-view filled tiburon condo to spend my days off with friends in a quiet space. not expecting to make tiburon feel like home (will most likely pack a bag each time i stay) but am looking forward to a marin "vacation" every week. REALLY looking forward to moving into my own place in sf soon(ish). my absolute deadline is dec 31...my goal is before the holidays. gonna start the new year off right. with everything in its place including my head and heart.

bye bye SOMA.

megan + garrett's wedding

i just returned from a beautiful weekend on the central coast where i was reunited with college roomies and friends to celebrate the wedding of two dear friends.
meg + garrett's wedding ceremony took place in the gorgeous historical San Luis Obispo Mission and the reception carried on at Tiber Canyon Ranch in SLO. the wedding party as well as family of the couple were fortunate enough to stay at Flying Caballos ranch....a stunning old farmhouse property.
after a 4am wake up call to hit the SF flower mart to get the freshest and best and 2 full days of arranging, re-arranging, wrapping, pinning, and setting...the flowers and tabletops were a hit. thanks to the tireless help of my assistant, my bouquets and table design/decor did not go un-noticed.... :)
i LOVE flowers even though they make me sneeze.

'love-lies-bleeding' bouquets.

two very good friends of mine are getting married in a couple weeks!! i am in charge of the floral arrangements and bridal bouquets for the wedding. today i visited the sf flower mart...holy moly AMAZING!! i had WAY too much fun buying all kinds of crazy unique stuff.
i took inpiration from the fantastically named 'love-lies-bleeding' (just the name alone gets me goin...but it's also one of the coolest plants ever). love-lies-bleeding is the focal point in each of the following options for the bride-to-be...

finale...

anyone else getting married??

MOVING!!

wow. well after a year and a half of couch surfing, house/pet sitting, staying with family (mainly my dad) and friends...i am moving to place i will call home. honestly, i am not even sure what it feels like to have a home after living out of suitcases/my car for the last several months while jumping from place to place, house to house. i haven't called a house "home" since i was 8...been a while...more than ready to change that!! although this move might end up being somewhat temporary, im about to live in beautiful Tiburon with people that i adore and views of my favorite city...i will have my own room, with my stuff out of boxes...i will sleep in my (super, amazing, comfy) bed (OMG miss i miss it so) and will have a quiet, peaceful workspace...

i just don't even think i can express how huge of a relief this is and how ready i am for this change. i am so thankful for everyone who put up with me and put me up night after night for the past 17 months...i know it wasn't always easy, but i guarantee it's been harder on me.

i am one very VERY happy lady!!!!
